Ingredients

Spiced Blueberry Syrup

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon mulling spices

  • ¾ ounce Spiced Blueberry Syrup
  • 1 ounce Empress 1908 Gin
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • 4 ounces chilled champagne or prosecco
  • Optional garnish: blueberries, lemon twist, edible flowers

Instructions

  1. Add blueberries, sugar, water and mulling spices to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let mixture cool. Strain into a jar or container and discard solids.

  1. Add Spiced Blueberry Syrup, gin, lemon juice, and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake until chilled.
  2. Strain mixture into a cocktail glass. Top with champagne or prosecco. If desired, garnish with blueberries, a lemon twist and edible flowers.
